Bill Miller Honors The Drum People!

Bill Miller won the lifetime achievement award at the 2007 Native American Music Awards.  Bill has been a Native American music icon for years, winning both Nammy awards (http://www.nativeamericanmusicawards.com/) and mainstream Grammy awards.

Bill Miller played his Little Badger hand drum in concert October 13, 2007.  Bill Miller told the crowd, "If you want a drum with spirit, see these good people, The Drum People."

Thank you for your endorsement, Bill.  We love you.  We have all of your CDs.  Your posters hang on the walls of our home.

Check out Bill's latest CD "Spirit Rain" and at www.fourwinds-trading.com or listen to all of his other CDs at Bill's official web site http://www.myspace.com/billmillerofficial

We have found that Native performers, like Bill Miller, who make it BIG in the music industry, remain humble and reachable.  Bill is courteous, funny, and always willing to hold out his hand to lift others up.  We appreciate Bill not just for his musical and artistic talent (he's a wonderful painter), but for his spirit - a spirit of humility, serenity, energy and grace.  We are honored beyond words to have you playing one of Keith's drums!

Bill Miller played his first drum made by The Drum People at Solar Fest concert in New England.
Bill Miller Playing at Solar Fest
Bill Miller performed at Solar Fest, to raise awareness for alternative fuel sources.  One of our customers handed Bill his personal drum (see Stonehenge in our painted drums).  Rock asked Bill to play his drum.  Ever gracious, Bill Miller honored Rock's request and unknowingly played his first Little Badger hand drum.

This was so fitting, because Bill sang for our cause.  The Drum People make their drums from only recovered cedar wood.  We do not kill trees.  We are committed recyclers.  We live green.  We pick up the litter of our town every day.  We dream of the day when we will have enough money to install or even rent solar panels to get off the grid.

Some might call the union of Bill Miller and Rock's drum an odd coincidence.  We call it fate.  Little did we know, or did Bill Miller know, that Arvel Bird would soon introduce us at a series of Native American festivals.   And that was the beginning of the story of how Bill Miller ended up choosing an 18" hand drum from The Drum People to sing "Praises" one glorious night in Cartersville, GA in October 2007.
